"If they insult you, it means they are insulting God," her mother comforts.
Kabelah himself feels sad and wants to have a complete body like others. Therefore, he decides to search for God to ask for the other half of his body.
Kabelah's parents reluctantly agree to his departure. They also hold a thanksgiving prayer before Kabelah leaves. On his journey to find God, Kabelah meets a person who is praying and asks where God is. However, the person only answers rudely because he sees that Kabelah only has half a body.
"Do you know where God is?" asks Kabelah.
"My body is complete, but I have never met God. How can you, who only have half a body, meet God?" he answers harshly.
When he reaches the edge of the forest, Kabelah is confronted by a robber.
"Sorry, I don't have anything valuable. My body is only half. Please let me continue my journey to find God," Kabelah answers.
"Go ahead!" the robber says, after observing Kabelah's body.
As he walks through the forest, Kabelah sees a cave. When he enters the cave, Kabelah's body seems to float and he hears an echoing voice saying that he should not enter. Kabelah falls asleep and when he wakes up, he is in a beautiful place and asks about the existence of God and his other half of the body.
He shouts and asks, "Where are You, God?" He also asks about the existence of his other half of the body.
After being tired of asking, Kabelah falls asleep again. When he wakes up, Kabelah is very surprised because his body has become complete. He is very grateful to God because his prayers have been answered. Then, the echoing voice reappears and tells him that he must meet the people he met during his journey.
Kabelah follows the message and visits the den of the robber who had previously confronted him. The robber is amazed by the miracle that happened to Kabelah and he repents. Later, Kabelah also visits the person who likes to pray and that person is also amazed by the miracle that happened to Kabelah. He now behaves politely and respects others.
After a long journey, Kabelah finally returns home and is welcomed with joy by his family. Kabelah's parents hold a celebration for his return and they also change his name to Muhammad Syukur.
This story teaches us that even though we have limitations or shortcomings, we must not give up and continue to strive to achieve our goals. We must also be patient and believe that God will answer our prayers if we sincerely ask for them.
